Taxed to Hell and Back

Dear IRS,

I am sorry to inform you that I will not be able to pay taxes owed April 15 , but all is not lost.

I have paid these taxes: accounts receivable tax, building permit tax, CDL tax, cigarette tax, corporate income tax, dog license tax, federal income tax, unemployment tax, gasoline tax, hunting license tax, fishing license tax, waterfowl stamp tax, inheritance tax, inventory tax, liquor tax, luxury tax, Medicare tax, city, school and county property tax (up 3.3 percent last 4 years), real estate tax, social security tax, road usage tax, toll road tax, state and city sales tax, recreational vehicle tax, state franchise tax, state unemployment tax, telephone federal excise tax, telephone federal state and local surcharge tax, telephone minimum usage surcharge tax, telephone state and local tax, utility tax, vehicle license registration tax, capitol gains tax, lease severance tax, oil and gas assessment tax, Colorado property tax, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma and New Mexico sales tax, and many more that I can't recall but I have run out of space and money.

When you do not receive my check April 15, just know that it is an honest mistake.

Please treat me the same way you treated Congressmen Charles Rangel , Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and ex-Congressman Tom Daschle and, of course, your boss Timothy Geithner. No penalties and no interest.

P.S. I will make at least a partial payment as soon as I get my stimulus check.

2008 was a busy year for Time magazine. They worked hard each month to figure out a way to put Obama on as many of their covers as possible. Judging from this compilation I'd say they really outdid themselves!

Your Tax Dollars Fund The Cult

Gwen Ifill of PBS moderated the Vice Presidential debate during the 2008 Presidential campaign. You would think that a moderator would be unbiased, non-partisan, and fair. That would be true if the media wasn't controlled by the Democrats, even our Public Broadcasting Service.

Word came out right before the debate, however, that she had just written a new book about Obama, that would come out on inauguration day(!), about how he was going to fix everything wrong with America, cure cancer, end poverty, feed the hungry, etc. Some Republicans complained, saying that publishing a book about Obama would mean she had had a financial stake in the election, but most of them just rolled over and showed their bellies.

Last night was the party for Ifill's book, "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama." The usual Cult imagery was present, and they even served Obama cookies. No doubt it symbolized the broken bread of The Cult Messiah's body...

ABC Claims Only Democrats Brought About Civil Rights

On Monday's Good Morning America, co-host Robin Roberts chose to tout only Democratic politicians in a piece honoring the civil rights movement and those "warriors" who made Barack Obama's election as president possible. Not a single Republican was mentioned or featured in the segment. Roberts began by announcing, "And on this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we thought it would be appropriate to look back at all the warriors, black and white, who made this moment where we are today possible."

All the warriors? The piece went on to feature clips from eight Democratic politicians: Harry Truman, Hubert Humphrey, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Robert Kennedy, Barbara Jordan and Barack Obama, in addition to a number of non-political civil rights pioneers. Republican Abraham Lincoln went unmentioned, so did New York Governor Thomas Dewey who signed one of the nation's earliest civil rights laws in 1944 and President Ronald Reagan who made Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday a federal holiday in 1983.

The piece also ignored the inconvenient fact that a higher percentage of Congressional Republicans voted for the historic 1964 Civil Rights Act than did Democrats. Another point left unmentioned was the heroic effort by the conservative GOP minority leader in the Senate, Everett Dirksen, in supporting that legislation...

Yesterday was not only about swearing in the Messiah. It was also about saying farewell to the man who has run our country for the past 8 years. The media hates Bush because he's not a member of the Cult, so it comes as no surprise that they didn't bother to cover his farewell speech yesterday. Well, all but one: Fox News:

The rest of the networks, however, did not see the Bush address as news fit to broadcast. At 6:40 p.m. EST, MSNBC was in the middle of "Hardball," with host Chris Matthews and guests batting around the meaning of Obama's swearing-in. CNN was carrying live ongoing coverage of the final moments of the inaugural parade, with the Obamas beaming from the White House reviewing stand.

Some Poor Soul Fights the Cult

Every once in a while some crazy non-Cultist decides to raise awareness of the dangers of blindly following the Cult of Democrats. Stephen H. Dean of Fairbanks, Alaska has created a giant sculpture of a shivering Al Gore out of a huge block of ice. He then dropped it off downtown and there it sits to try to offset the mainstream media's dictate of Global Warming upon the masses. They're even having a contest to guess how much colder it's been in Fairbanks this winter compared to the winter of 1947-1948, when Al Gore was born. The winner gets 300 gallons of heating oil.

Rolling Stone Pretends It's a Music Magazine

Rolling Stone has been a member of the Cult for decades, so the Cult covers they ran in 2008 come as no surprise. Their dear readers were treated to pro-Obama displays and extremely negative portrayals of Republicans. Their other covers contained Cult musicians such as Thom Yorke, and Chris Martin, as well as Cult actors like Brad Pitt and Chris Rock.

Newsweek Serves the Kool-Aid

2008 was a busy year for Newsweek. They spent the year doing all they could to promote the Cult of Democrats and the religion of Obama. Actually, now that I think about it, it's a lot easier to cover just Democrats than any other political party, so maybe they weren't so busy. One thing big media is realizing, however, is that promoting membership in the Cult doesn't pay well. They've alienated all of the free minds in our country and as a result are losing too many subscriptions to stay in business. In the end it doesn't really matter; the Democrats will bail out big media in 2009.
